Wasevo LLC (trading as WaseerHost)
Website: https://waseerhost.com
Abuse reports: [email protected]
Copyright (DMCA) notices: [email protected]
WaseerHost hosts websites, email and servers for customers. We do not create or control the content our customers publish, but we take reports of abuse and copyright infringement seriously. This page explains how to report a problem and what happens next.
Part A: Reporting abuse
1. What you can report
Use this process for anything that breaks our Acceptable Use Policy, including:
- spam sent from, or advertising a site on, our network;
- phishing pages or fraudulent websites;
- malware, botnet controllers or compromised websites;
- hacking attempts, brute-force attacks, port scans or DDoS traffic from our IP addresses;
- illegal content, harassment or threats;
- trademark misuse (for domain name disputes, see section 4).
Child sexual abuse material (CSAM): report it to us immediately at [email protected] and to NCMEC's CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org (or to your national hotline, such as the IWF in the UK). Do not download or send us copies of the material itself; send only the URL.
2. How to report
Email [email protected] and include:
- What happened: the type of abuse and a short description.
- Where: the full URL(s), domain name and/or IP address involved.
- When: date and time of the activity, with time zone.
- Evidence: for spam, the full email headers; for attacks, relevant log extracts showing source IP, destination and timestamps; for phishing, the URL and a screenshot if possible.
- Your contact details, so we can follow up if needed. You may report anonymously, but that may limit what we can do.
Plain-text log extracts are preferred over attachments. Please send one report per incident where possible.
3. What happens next
- We send an automatic acknowledgement and review reports in order of urgency.
- Serious threats (CSAM, active phishing, malware distribution, ongoing attacks) are prioritised and may be actioned immediately.
- For other issues, we usually notify our customer and give them a deadline to fix the problem, typically 24 to 72 hours.
- If the customer does not act, we may suspend or remove the content or Service under our Acceptable Use Policy.
- We may not be able to tell you the outcome, because of our privacy duties to our customers.
We cannot decide legal disputes between you and our customer (for example, about defamation or contract matters). In those cases we may ask you to obtain a court order.
4. Domain name disputes
If your complaint is that a domain name itself infringes your trademark, the proper route is usually the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) or Uniform Rapid Suspension (URS) through an approved dispute-resolution provider, or the equivalent procedure for country-code domains. For abuse involving the domain's use (phishing, malware and the like), report it to us using section 2.
Part B: Copyright infringement (DMCA)
5. Our approach
We respect intellectual property rights and respond to notices that comply with the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512. For content hosted on our servers in Germany or Finland, we also handle notices in line with the EU Digital Services Act.
6. Designated agent
Send copyright notices to our designated agent:
DMCA Agent, Wasevo LLC
Email: [email protected]
7. What a valid DMCA notice must include
To be effective, your notice must be in writing and include:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act for them.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (or, for several works, a representative list).
- Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to find it, ideally the exact URL(s).
- Your contact information: name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
Incomplete notices may be returned for more information. Be aware that under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly makes a material misrepresentation in a notice or counter-notice may be liable for damages.
8. What we do with a valid notice
- We forward the notice to the customer responsible, and may share your notice (including your contact details) with them.
- We ask the customer to remove or disable the material promptly. If they do not, or the matter is urgent, we may disable access ourselves.
- We keep a record of the notice for our repeat-infringer policy.
9. Counter-notice
If you are our customer and believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to our designated agent. It must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district where your address is located (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which Wasevo LLC may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or their agent.
When we receive a valid counter-notice, we will send a copy to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action to stop the infringement, we may restore the material within 10 to 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice.
10. Repeat infringer policy
We will terminate the accounts of customers who are repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. As a general guide, an account that receives three valid, unresolved copyright notices within a 12-month period will be reviewed for termination. We may terminate sooner where the infringement is serious or wilful. Notices that are successfully countered do not count towards this total.
11. Law enforcement and legal requests
Law enforcement and government agencies should send requests to [email protected]. We disclose customer data only when legally required, for example under a valid subpoena, court order or warrant, or in an emergency involving a risk of death or serious injury. Where the law allows, we notify the affected customer before disclosing their data.
