This policy explains when you can get your money back and how to ask for it. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. The 30-day money-back guarantee
If you are not happy with an eligible hosting plan, you can cancel it within 30 days after the order was first activated and receive a full refund of the hosting fee you paid for that order.
Plans covered:
- Shared hosting
- WordPress hosting
- WooCommerce / eCommerce hosting
- Reseller hosting
- VPS hosting
Not covered by the guarantee:
- Dedicated servers, which are provisioned individually for you
- Requests made more than 30 days into the initial term
- Renewals of any Service (but see section 4 on cancelling before a renewal)
The guarantee applies to your first order of each plan type. If you have used the guarantee before for the same type of plan, or open a new account to claim it again, the new order is not eligible.
2. What is always non-refundable
The following are non-refundable in all cases, which is standard practice across the hosting industry because the cost is paid to a third party as soon as the order is processed:
- Domain names: new registrations, renewals, transfers-in, restorations from redemption, and premium domains.
- Third-party software licences: for example cPanel, Plesk, LiteSpeed, Softaculous, Windows Server, CloudLinux, and similar licences billed separately.
- SSL certificates from a certificate authority once issued (free SSL, such as Let's Encrypt, has no charge to refund).
- Third-party email and productivity suites (for example Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace) once provisioned.
- One-off services already delivered: such as paid migrations, malware clean-ups, custom setup, or paid support time.
- Setup fees where these are shown at checkout.
- Fees charged by your bank or card issuer, such as currency conversion fees.
3. Free domains included with hosting
If your hosting plan came with a free domain and you cancel under the money-back guarantee, we will subtract our regular price for that domain from your refund (the published price for that extension on the date of registration). The domain stays registered to you and you can keep it, renew it or transfer it. If the refund is smaller than the domain price, we will not ask you to pay the difference; you will simply receive no refund and keep the domain.
4. Renewals and cancellations after 30 days
- Services renew automatically as described in our Terms of Service. You can turn off auto-renewal or cancel at any time in the client area.
- If a renewal charge is taken and you cancel within 7 days of that charge without having used the renewed Service in a meaningful way, contact us and we will consider a refund of the renewal fee (domain and licence renewals excluded) as a goodwill gesture.
- Outside the 30-day guarantee, cancelling a Service stops future renewals, but we do not give pro-rata refunds for the unused part of a prepaid term, unless required by law or unless we ended the Service for reasons that were not your fault.
- Downgrading or moving to a shorter billing cycle does not create a refund. Any difference may be added as account credit at our discretion.
5. When a refund is not available
We may refuse a refund if:
- the Service was suspended or terminated because you broke our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy (for example, for spam, phishing, malware or copyright infringement);
- the order was fraudulent or used a stolen payment method;
- you have opened a chargeback or payment dispute for the same charge; or
- the request is made after the 30-day window.
6. How to request a refund
- Log in to the client area at waseerhost.com/panel.
- Open Services, select the service, and choose Request Cancellation. Select "Immediate" cancellation.
- Open a ticket with the Billing department stating that you want a refund under the 30-day money-back guarantee, and include the invoice number.
Your request must be submitted within the 30-day window. The date the ticket is opened counts, not the date we process it.
Before cancelling, download any files, databases and emails you want to keep. Cancelling a hosting Service permanently removes its data.
7. How and when you will be paid
- Refunds are paid back using the same payment method you used for the order (for example, the same card or PayPal account). If that is not possible, we will agree another method with you.
- We aim to approve eligible refunds within 5 business days after your request arrives.
- After approval, your bank or payment provider usually takes a further 5 to 10 business days to show the money in your account. We cannot speed this up.
- Refunds are made in the currency you paid. Exchange-rate differences are not our responsibility.
- If you prefer, we can add the amount to your account as credit instead, which is available straight away.
8. Chargebacks and payment disputes
Please contact us before filing a dispute with your bank or card provider. Most billing issues can be solved quickly through a ticket.
If a chargeback or payment dispute is opened:
- we may suspend the related Services, and other Services on the account, while the dispute is open;
- we will provide the payment processor with records of your order, your acceptance of our Terms, and how the Service was used;
- if the dispute is decided in our favour, or you withdraw it, you must pay any outstanding balance before Services are restored; and
- we may refuse future orders from accounts with unjustified chargebacks.
Opening a chargeback does not change your rights under this policy. If you were entitled to a refund, we will honour it.
9. Your legal rights
This policy does not limit any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded where you live. For example, some consumers in the EU and UK have a statutory right to cancel online contracts within 14 days. Where you ask us to start a Service immediately, that right may end once the Service is fully performed, or you may have to pay for what you have used, as the law allows.
